A firefighting pump is the heart of a firefighting system. In case of a fire, a firefighting pump is used to pump water on site through sprinklers, hydrants and fire hose reels. These pumps can be fitted on to vehicles for mobile use or installed on location to ensure safety if a fire breaks out.

Firefighting pumps come in a wide range of options which include horizontal split case, vertical split case among many more. They can be powered by diesel or electric and often a combination is used. The pump requires regular inspection and maintenance to operate at optimum performance level.
